Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design, drawing packages, and associated deliverables primarily for the mining/ oil & gas industry
• Take the design from concept through to construction using 2D/3D AutoCAD / Plant 3D to generate the project deliverables
• Modelling from P&ID's and plot plans
• Production and checking of piping isometrics and spool drawings
• Production and checking of Piping 2D drawings such as isometrics, spool drawings and P&ID independently
• Working to client standards and specifications
• Professional communication
• Adherence to quality control systems
• Training and leadership

Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum 10 years piping design experience on Australian mining/materials handling projects/ oil & gas
• Strong understanding of piping specifications and P&ID workflows
• Excellent knowledge of Australian standards, fabrication and construction principles and methods
• Previous experience in 3D modelling and drafting in a relevant CAD package. Autodesk preferred although not essential
• Experience with Plant 3D/ Navisworks is preferred
• Liaising with CAD Administrator to build Plant3D pipe specifications
• Advanced knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices
• Competency in design checking will be highly regarded
• PDMS experience desired but not essential
• High level of computer literacy

• Ability to perform independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
