Vehicle Service Manager – Truck Repairs

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Vehicle Service Manager to lead our truck repair and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the service department, including workflow management, customer service, staff supervision, quality control, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for quality, reliability, and efficiency in heavy vehicle service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of service technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
  • Work Scheduling: Assign repair jobs, manage workload distribution, and ensure timely completion of services.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service estimates, status updates, and post-service feedback.
  • Repair Oversight: Ensure all diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work meets company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee parts ordering, inventory levels, and vendor relationships.
  • Reporting: Maintain service records, generate performance reports, and contribute to operational planning.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a service management role within a truck repair or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance environment.
  • Strong technical background in diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
  • Has job related certifications
