WHAT WILL YOU DOThis position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a secure IT environment (hardware, software, peopleware) covering both internal and external factors to ensure data security and protection. It oversees the operationalization of IT security procedures and protocols to ensure that company assets (hardware, software, data) are secure and monitored. The position also monitors movement or reassignments of assets (software licenses, hardware) to ensure compliance with company policy.

Responsibilities include:Information SecurityDeveloping and supporting IT security goals and objectives based on the company's overall IT strategic plans. Implementing IT security standards, procedures, and guidelines across multiple platforms and environments. Performing vulnerability scans and overseeing penetration tests.

Creating and managing programs to detect, respond to, and mitigate security incidents. Monitoring security logs for infrastructure and application systems to gather insights. Analyzing emerging security threats and communicating them proactively.

Coordinating with IT teams to assess and monitor security risks. Ensuring compliance with security policies and standards. Providing security assessments, reports, and training to staff.

Asset ManagementControlling all IT assets, including hardware and software. Monitoring asset movements and maintaining accurate inventory records. Developing tracking procedures and conducting quarterly inventories.

Cost ManagementPreparing and monitoring the department budget. Implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Organization and People DevelopmentMentoring and developing staff competencies.

Setting job descriptions and performance measures. Conducting staff meetings and fostering a positive work environment. Environment, Health, Safety, and SecurityEnsuring compliance with EHS standards in security operations.

Other dutiesPerforming additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications:College degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Minimum 8 years in IT, with recent experience in Information Security and managerial roles. Proven expertise in data security and IT asset management.
