About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical and Security Support Specialist to provide comprehensive IT support and help maintain the security and stability of our systems. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, assisting end users, and implementing basic security measures to protect company data and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and has a strong understanding of both technology operations and cyber-security principles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Troubleshoot connectivity, email, and access control issues while ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and security tools.
  • Document technical procedures, support activities, and incident resolutions accurately.

System & Network Maintenance

  • Monitor system performance and respond promptly to alerts or potential system disruptions.
  • Conduct regular system updates, patch management, and backups to ensure data integrity and protection.
  • Support user account management, password resets, and access provisioning in line with IT security policies.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining antivirus, endpoint protection, and data encryption solutions.
  • Monitor for suspicious activities or potential security incidents and escalate when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and data protection standards.
  • Help enforce access control and user permission management.

User Training & Awareness

  • Educate employees on IT best practices and cybersecurity awareness (e.g., phishing prevention, password hygiene).
  • Promote a culture of digital security and proper technology use within the organization.

Collaboration & Escalation

  • Work closely with higher-level IT or Security teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1–3 years of experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.

  • Understanding of security best practices, including password management, phishing prevention, and access control.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Active Directory, or similar systems.

  • Basic knowledge of SIEM tools or security incident handling.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals are an advantage.
