Manual Tester

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, understand, and document test requirements to ensure clarity and completeness.
  • Analyze and report issues, ensuring timely communication of risks and defects.
  • Perform test artifact reviews and conduct quality control checks.
  • Monitor quality gates, including entry and exit criteria, to ensure deliverables meet standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual test scripts; manage reporting and tracking systems.
  • Record, track, and report the status of issues, defects, and bugs in the issue-tracking database.
  • Drive the testing process through the development and execution of test scenarios.
  • Advocate for quality by assessing testing progress and effectiveness, and ensuring resolution of critical defects.
  • Conduct and log test executions, verify outcomes, and ensure alignment with requirements.
  • Identify the most appropriate testing approach for given requirements and implement accordingly.
  • Analyze execution errors, troubleshoot issues, and apply corrective measures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect life cycle.
  • Experience in creating and executing detailed test cases and scripts.
  • Proficiency in defect tracking and reporting tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • With strong 5-7 years of relevant Testing experience.
