Functions and Tasks:

  • Providing immediate and appropriate first aid treatment to employees and visitors in the event of accidents, illnesses, or medical emergencies
  • Assessing the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses and determining the appropriate course of action
  • Administering first aid treatments such as bandaging, applying antiseptic, or providing CPR as necessary
  • Maintaining a well-stocked first aid kit and ensuring that all emergency equipment is in proper working order
  • Documenting all incidents and treatments in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating with emergency services and assisting with the transportation of injured or ill individuals to medical facilities when required
  • Participating in emergency response drills and training to ensure preparedness

Qualification:

  • A valid first aid certification, such as a recognized training course in Occupational First Aid or an equivalent
  • Experience working as a First Aider in a construction or industrial setting, preferably in the health, safety, and environment industry
  • Strong knowledge of first aid principles, emergency response procedures, and relevant health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide reassurance and care to injured or distressed individuals
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick, informed decisions in high-stress situations
  • A team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
