About the Role

Phitopolis is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive the technical vision and execution of innovative solutions that align with key business needs. In this client-facing role, you will leverage your deep expertise in system design to assess complex business problems and architect scalable, effective solutions. Your leadership will be pivotal in bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams, guiding projects through the entire development lifecycle, and ensuring the final product meets and exceeds expectations.

Scope and Responsibilities

• Lead the design and hands-on development of multi-tier architectures within cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, gather business requirements, and translate them into a clear architectural vision.
• Evaluate project constraints to identify potential risks and alternatives, performing process re-engineering where necessary to ensure success.
• Guide and supervise development teams, implementing best practices for software design, integration, security, and deployment.
• Conduct architectural reviews to ensure solutions are performant, scalable, and align with enterprise standards.
• Analyze and articulate the business impact of technical choices to senior management and stakeholders.
• Continuously research emerging technologies and propose changes or improvements to the existing architecture.
• Act as a key technical advisor, fixing complex issues as they arise and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software development and IT, with at least 5 years in a solutions architect or similar role.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying enterprise-level software solutions that meet specific business goals.
• Wide-ranging technical expertise across IT infrastructure, software architecture design, cloud development, and DevOps.
• Strong proficiency in architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
• Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing paradigms.
• Willing to work daily at our BGC office
• Advanced certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and message-driven architectures.
• Experience with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform).
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Rust).
