Consistently meet all tender submission due dates, submitting as early as possible.

Effectively manage workload to ensure timely and accurate tender completion.

Prioritise tenders based on builder relationships, likelihood of award, and strategic value to TPR Electrical.
Client & Builder Relationship Alignment

Maintain awareness of builder preferences, expectations, and win rates.

Actively follow up post-submission to confirm if our pricing is being considered and gather feedback.
Accuracy & Detail in Take-Offs
-
Provide detailed, accurate, and complete take-offs for all tenders.

Ensure all scopes are captured thoroughly, avoiding oversights or double-ups.

Validate measurements and quantities with plans, specs, cable calculations, and notes
Project Pricing & Competitiveness
-
Source and confirm up-to-date material and supplier pricing across all components of the project with assistance from the rest of the team.

Identify and present cost-saving solutions where applicable that are suitable to the project scope
Clarifications & RFIs

Raise relevant RFIs to senior staff and/or builders where scope, details, or inclusions are unclear.

Ensure all RFIs are documented and responses are factored into the final submission
Supplier Communication & Documentation

Request and record supplier pricing in a clear, retrievable format.
Internal Communication & Updates

Maintain regular and clear communication with the rest of the team regarding the status of all tenders.

Provide progress updates, challenges, and projected submission timelines
-
Collaborate closely with the rest of the team on handovers if a tender is successful.
Systems & Process Adherence

Utilise existing estimating systems, file structures, and documentation procedures consistently.
-
Assist in improving internal systems over time — including prebuild libraries, templates, and workflow optimisations.

Propose and document process improvements that streamline tendering and handover efficiency.
Post-Tender Review & Learning
-
Participate in post-tender reviews to identify wins/losses and areas for improvement.
-
Collect and review builder feedback when available to refine future estimating practices.
Strategic Contribution

Proactively identify tender opportunities aligned with company capabilities and growth goals.

Stay informed on regulatory or compliance changes that may impact costing, materials, or timelines — and flag risks early in the tendering process.
