Job Purpose

The Middleware / Web Hosting Administrator is responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining middleware and web hosting infrastructure to ensure a stable, secure, and efficient system environment that meets agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage middleware and web hosting platforms (WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache, IIS, JBoss, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and SLA compliance
• Perform vulnerability management, including testing, installation, patching, and upgrades following configuration and security standards
• Define and implement middleware setup, configuration procedures, and security guidelines
• Build and maintain middleware automation using Ansible and Jenkins
• Test and implement service recovery and disaster prevention procedures
• Troubleshoot middleware issues across development, test, and production environments

Specialized Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Liberty, IBM MobileFirst / Worklight, IBM HTTP Server, Apache, WebLogic, IIS, and JBoss
• Experience across Unix, Windows, Linux/RHEL, and cloud environments
• Strong experience creating Ansible playbooks and Jenkins pipelines
• Working knowledge of bash, PowerShell, and Python scripting
• General knowledge of IT Service Management and IT infrastructure (network, servers, databases)
• Exposure to AWS, WebSphere Portal, Java, and tools like Artifactory, Bitbucket, Jira is a plus

Qualifications

• College or University Degree
• Minimum 4 years of experience in WebSphere Application Server and HTTP Server
• At least 1 year of experience with JBoss EAP
• At least 1 year of experience with IBM MobileFirst / Worklight Foundation
• Strong troubleshooting skills across middleware platforms

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: Php70, Php110,000.00 per month
