About the role

Paperland, Incorporated is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in Balong Bato, Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to produce high-quality parts and components for our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Operate and monitor a variety of metalworking machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to manufacture parts to precise specifications
2. Set up, adjust, and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
3. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions to determine the appropriate machining processes and techniques
4. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to identify and resolve issues
5. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify process improvements and implement best practices
6. Maintain detailed records of production, machine maintenance, and quality control activities
7. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following all relevant safety protocols and procedures

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
2. Proficient in operating a variety of metalworking machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions
4. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
5. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills
8. Relevant vocational training or certification in Machining or a related field is preferred
