We are looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer
to drive the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure—spanning internal developer tools like GitLab to high-traffic, client-facing platforms such as Client websites. In this role, you'll lead reliability efforts, guide a growing SRE team, and help shape the systems that power our digital operations. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help design, build, and maintain systems that stay fast, secure, and reliable at scale
  • Monitor servers, tools, and infrastructure daily to make sure everything is running properly
  • Respond to system issues or outages and help prevent them from happening again
  • Install and configure new servers or rebuild existing ones when needed
  • Review security risks and recommend improvements to keep systems protected
  • Improve automation for system setup, monitoring, and performance tuning
  • Guide and support other team members with best practices and technical insights
  • Work with leadership to plan upgrades, manage budgets, and improve team performance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 6 years of experience in systems engineering or software development
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related IT field
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl); knowledge of PHP, C/C++, or Java is a bonus
  • Experience working with MySQL/MariaDB databases and writing optimized queries
  • Familiarity with WordPress server setup and configuration
  • Comfort using monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Papertrail, Nagios, Sysdig)
  • Knowledge of server security (firewalls, SSL, SFTP, encryption, etc.)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Rackspace, or Google Cloud
  • RHCSA/RHCSE, or a comparable certification, is required
  • Willing to work on a night shift schedule
