IT Support Assistant
Job Summary
The IT Support Assistant is responsible for providing day-to-day technical assistance and support to all company users, ensuring that hardware, software, and network systems operate efficiently. The role supports troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance activities across offices and branches, helping to maintain smooth IT operations and service delivery under the supervision of the IT Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues raised by users through ticketing or direct requests.
Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving IT-related problems in coordination with the IT Officer.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripheral devices in compliance with IT standards.
Monitor IT equipment inventory, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all devices are properly logged and tagged.
Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, replacements, and service calls when required.
Support the setup of new users, email accounts, access permissions, and other system credentials.
Ensure timely documentation of issues, resolutions, and follow-ups through the IT helpdesk or tracking system.
Assist in implementing IT policies, cybersecurity awareness, and compliance procedures.
Provide on-site and remote support for branch operations as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
At least 1–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical assistance roles.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and network troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Office 365, Windows environments, and remote access tools.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Organized, reliable, and willing to perform fieldwork or branch support when needed.
