The ESH Superintendent is the company's visionary leader for environmental stewardship, workplace safety, and community health – overseeing the overall ESH performance across all mining operations. With a deep appreciation for the intrinsic link between environmental protection, safety culture, and community well-being, this leader adopts a proactive, risk-and-opportunity-driven approach to anticipate impacts, optimize performance, and ensure full compliance with Philippine regulations and leading global sustainability standards.

The role requires strategic foresight, technical expertise, and principled leadership, turning the company's mission into measurable, lasting outcomes while building an organizational culture of ESH awareness, accountability, and innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental/Mine Engineering, Forestry, Occupational Safety & Health, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in similar capacity and context.
• Strong expertise in environmental, safety, and health risk and impact assessment methodologies applied to mining operations.
• Self-motivated learner with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Strong organizing and prioritization skills to manage competing demands effectively.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple programs efficiently across multiple sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, regulators, and community stakeholders.

TASK/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Leadership & Oversight

2. Lead the integrated ESH strategy across all mining tenements and lifecycle stages.

3. Anticipate and manage ESH risks while leveraging opportunities to enhance sustainability and operational performance.

4. Ensure coordinated and consistent ESH performance across the organization

5. ESH Risk & Impact Assessment

6. Lead the development and application of ESH risk and impact assessment tools and methodologies,

7. Ensure assessment findings directly inform planning, mitigation, and monitoring.

8. Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

9. Oversee the development of annual work plans with clear, measurable targets in conjunction with site teams and technical specialists.

10. Implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation program covering both regulatory compliance and voluntary performance commitments, supported by periodic ground audits and inspections

11. Ensure timely delivery of accurate internal and external reports.

12. Advisory, Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer

13. Provide strategic ESH advice to senior management to guide sound and principle-based decision making.

14. Mentor, coach, and develop ESH personnel and other employees, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and technical competence.

15. Promote continuous learning and innovation in environmental, safety, and health practices.

16. Prudent Budget Management

17. Plan, manage, consolidate, and report on ESH budgets with fiscal discipline.

18. Ensure optimal allocation and use of resources to achieve objectives without compromising compliance or performance.

19. Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement

20. Ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, and occupational health laws, permits, and commitments.

21. Represent the company with regulators, communities, Indigenous Peoples, and industry bodies

22. Integrate sustainability principles into mine planning, rehabilitation, and closure strategies.

23. Continuous Improvement

24. Leverage monitoring and evaluation outcomes to continuously improve policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring their relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability
