Job Description

Be part of our client's team as a SQL Database Administrator, taking ownership of high-availability database environments that power healthcare systems worldwide. You'll manage Always On availability groups, clustering, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategies-all while working with global teams that value innovation, mentorship, and shared success.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in database operations, administration, or a similar role
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server , including SQL Express
  • Proven expertise in High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, including clustering and Always On availability groups (non-negotiable)
  • Proficient in installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning
  • Skilled in backup and recovery strategies ensuring data integrity and availability
  • Experienced in database migrations and version upgrades
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based database environments
  • Understanding of database security, ITIL frameworks, and change management
  • SQL Server certification or other relevant credentials (preferred)
  • Willing to work onsite and accommodate a shifting schedule

Your Day-to-Day

  • Manage and maintain SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness
  • Monitor and optimize performance across multiple instances and environments
  • Configure and manage Always On availability groups and clustering solutions
  • Secure data integrity through backup, recovery, and access control
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents swiftly and effectively
  • Collaborate with developers, system admins, and support teams to maintain reliable data systems
  • Document configurations, processes, and incident resolutions to maintain transparency and compliance
