Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Category Buyer – Plastics & Contract Manufacturing to manage procurement activities for direct materials and contract manufacturing services. The role is responsible for supplier management, cost optimization, and implementation of procurement strategies while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute purchasing plans for direct materials and/or services
  • Follow and enforce company procurement policies and procedures
  • Review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services in line with procurement strategies
  • Contribute to and implement category-specific procurement strategies
  • Take full ownership of assigned procurement portfolio, including decision-making for routine activities
  • Maintain and regularly update supplier information (qualifications, delivery lead times, product ranges, etc.)
  • Manage supplier relationships, including price negotiations and contract modifications
  • Conduct market research for products in short supply and evaluate potential suppliers
  • Perform cost analysis and summarize findings for management reports, KPIs, and meetings
  • Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives with key stakeholders
  • Support continuous procurement process optimization within assigned scope
  • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across the managed product portfolio
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, project management, or supply chain
  • SAP knowledge is preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across all organizational levels
  • Strong influencing skills to drive performance and achieve business goals
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships and partnerships
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
