Job Opportunity: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who will take a lead role in designing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical systems for various projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in electrical design, and capable of ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.

Job Description

  • Prepare and review schematic reports of electrical systems for client approval.
  • Perform electrical design and calculations to establish installation requirements, construction standards, and specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to confirm compliance with prescribed codes, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Research and analyze Terms of Reference (TOR), specifications, manuals, and related data to evaluate feasibility and maintenance requirements.
  • Prepare layouts and oversee the development of detailed drawings and project documents to meet deliverables and deadlines.
  • Coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines and departments.
  • Monitor and implement design changes with the project team.
  • Attend coordination meetings with engineers, clients, and stakeholders during all project stages.
  • Evaluate electrical submittals, shop drawings, and related documentation during construction.
  • Ensure design integrity, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Licensed Engineer preferred).
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in building services, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and design practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design/drafting software.
  • Excellent skills in electrical load calculation, system design, and technical report preparation.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in client interfacing and project coordination is an advantage.
