Tax Officer

Job Summary:

The Tax Officer is responsible for the accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. This role supports the Tax Manager in managing the company's tax obligations and documentation, particularly in relation to real estate operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, EWT, income tax, etc.).
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of all tax-related transactions.
  • Assist in BIR audits and provide necessary schedules and supporting documents.
  • Ensure accurate computation of tax liabilities and timely remittance.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulatory changes affecting the real estate sector.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
  • Support the Tax Manager in implementing tax planning and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in taxation, ideally from the real estate industry.
  • Proficient in tax software and BIR electronic filing systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet strict deadlines.
