Senior Project Accountant

Work Setup & Schedule:

  • Hybrid (Mon-Fri, 5:00AM – 2:00PM)

What you'll be doing:

  • Track and record project expenses in QuickBooks/Excel (land, soft, hard, financing costs).
  • Prepare weekly unpaid bills list with due dates and suggested payment priorities.
  • Maintain and update cash flow forecasts, identifying upcoming shortfalls or surpluses.
  • Process vendor invoices, reconcile bank accounts, and monitor payment timing.
  • Generate weekly and monthly financial reports per project with budget-to-actual comparisons.
  • Support loan draw preparation (collecting invoices, organizing backup, reconciling totals).
  • Google drive is always up to date with, for example, invoices, quotes, drawings etc.
  • Collaborate with the Canadian CPA for reviews and year-end reporting.
  • Assist management in maintaining accurate proformas and project summaries.

What will make you a great fit:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (real estate/construction background a plus).
  • Strong Excel and QuickBooks proficiency.  Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn Canadian real estate accounting standards and lender requirements.
