Lab Manager

Job description:

• The Laboratory Manager directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in performing phlebotomy, clinical chemistry, immunology/serology, hematology, bacteriology, clinical microscopy, blood banking, histopathology, and drug testing.
• Administers effective work delivery of department personnel according to set rules and policies of the health facility
• Ensures the quality and accuracy of all examinations performed in the laboratory.
• Prepares work schedule for Medical Technology staff every week.
• Ensures implementation of Quality Assurance Program in the different sections of the laboratory by regular monitoring.
• Performs laboratory procedures when undermanned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Medical Technologist, ASCP or AMT
• Minimum two (2) years' experience as Chief Medical Technologist in a reputable healthcare organization and/or at least 18 units of Master's Degree
• Knowledgeable and experienced in overseeing the Laboratory Department, including inventory management, application of principles, documentation, supervision of subordinates, and procedural techniques.
