The Data Analytics (DA) Specialist hall be one of the leads in the management, stewardship, and analysis of customer and enterprise-wide data by providing data-driven insights and stories to help in creating innovative and strategic business decisions and solutions to the organization.

The DA Specialist is a dynamic role focused on the independent handling of data-related tasks in a business environment. The DA Specialist should have a solid foundation in data analysis and data analytics, and is capable of working effectively without the need for constant supervision. The primary responsibilities include collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover trends and insights that inform and support business decisions.

Key Functions:

• Data Analytics Operations

• Apply a range of mathematical, statistical, predictive modeling, and other analytical techniques with due consideration to the limitations of the techniques and models

• Application of data collection techniques, including the capability to mine and generate small to large datasets from multiple systems using appropriate tools;
• Develops data hypotheses and methods, trains and evaluates analytics models, shares insights and findings, and continues to iterate with additional data.
• Prepare and present data visualization reports or narratives based on provided specifications to the Department Leaders and the Management;
• Practice data stewardship through ethical and robust techniques in the transformation of data from one format/medium to another, in line with organizational policies and procedures and being sensitive to risks around the use of information;
• Support business units and support groups, by creating accurate analytics reports measuring valuable insight into customers' behavior and preferences to help in making relevant business decisions;
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise and collaborate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for decision-making and implementable strategies;

Project Management

• Participate and assist in project or strategy execution and monitoring related to data analytics, and other related programs and projects;

Training

• A subject-matter expert in Analytics, the candidate will partake in mentoring associates and will participate in enterprise-wide analytics programs to upskill employees;
• Participate in data, analytics, data science, AI and machine learning, and other technology initiatives of the 'Aboitiz Group' such as trainings and other projects;

Others

• Proactively take on additional responsibilities and projects as advised by the immediate head, Data Analytics Manager

Requirement:

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Physics, or equivalent;
• Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in data analysis, data management, data modeling, design, programming, and data visualization.;

• Proficiency in the following tools and languages:

• SQL

• Python
• Data Visualization/BI Tool (Looker Studio strongly preferred, or demonstrated experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar.)
