Primary Responsibilities:

Our project teams are frequently required to design solutions to business problems that involve new and complex integration patterns with other internal UHG technology platforms. The solution architect works in the initial stages of the discovery and design process to understand what is needed and what is possible. The role involves:

Understanding UHG technology design patterns and standardsUnderstanding the current project technology ecosystemUnderstanding the near- and long-term roadmap to design solutions that incorporate a practical plan for implementationWorking with the delivery teams to carry out the design - answering their questions and being available to be "hands-on" as needed to resolve unexpected blockersReviewing items delivered by the delivery team (i.e. looking at code, testing, etc.)Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant software development experience including recent work with React framework and RESTful servicesKnowledge of React framework including hooks and component architectureKnowledge of Performance Optimization: code splitting, lazy loading, memorizationKnowledge of API design for REStful services and GraphQLKnowledge of Authentication/Authorization patterns such as OAuthKnowledge of Azure cloud concepts including App Services and Application InsightsState management using tools like Redux or React QueryData security, including encryption; Knowledge of security tools like Twistlock, SonarQubeProven solid communication skills including comfort with leading architectural design meetingsProven excellent collaboration within the team and supply chain teamsProven ability to quickly create easily understood system architecture diagrams to communicate designs, workflows, and dependenciesProven ability to design principles including solid principles and clean architecture
