Release and Deployment Manager/Head

Location: Quezon City | Schedule: Full-time, On-site

About the Role:

We are looking for a Release and Deployment Head to join our growing Technology Team in Quezon City. This role will play a key part in managing and streamlining our software and infrastructure deployment processes. You'll lead a team responsible for ensuring secure, efficient, and stable releases, across environments and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

As the Release and Deployment Head, you will oversee the full release management lifecycle and collaborate across development, operations, infrastructure, and security teams.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement release and deployment strategies, policies, and governance models
  • Manage environment consistency, configuration management, and version control
  • Optimize and automate CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment and integration
  • Execute structured, secure, and low-risk deployments for software and infrastructure changes
  • Lead risk assessment, rollback planning, and incident handling during releases
  • Coordinate with Change Advisory Board (CAB) and ensure adherence to ITIL/DevOps standards
  • Promote collaboration across teams to ensure smooth communication and knowledge transfer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent (required)
  • Master's degree (MBA or IT Management) is a plus

Experience:

  • 5+ years
     in Release & Deployment Management (versioning, governance, rollback strategies)
  • 3+ years
     in CI/CD and automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, scripting, IaC like Terraform/Ansible)
  • 3+ years
     in configuration/change management (CMDB, CAB, multi-environment control)
  • 3+ years
     in infrastructure & cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 3+ years
     in team leadership or senior management roles (DevOps, Deployment, or Release teams)
  • 3+ years
     in incident/problem management (RCA, rollback execution, ITSM tools)
  • 3+ years
     in deployment security and compliance (DevSecOps, automated compliance checks)

Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus):

  • ITIL (Release & Control), CKA, AWS/Azure/GCP, DevOps Engineer certifications
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/PMI-ACP
