We are seeking an experienced Landscape Estimator to join our team and support a well-established Western Australian company who were established over 50 years ago. They specialise in constructing and refurbishing sports facilities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, and cricket pitches for local governments, schools, builders, mining companies, and private clients.

The Landscape Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and managing the quoting pipeline to improve turnaround times. The role also involves using Excel and Simpro software.You will report directly to the Director based in Australia and will work as an extension of their team.

Our client is a well-respected family business established over 50 years ago. They provide solutions for all sports surfaces, including tennis courts, basketball, Pickleball and cricket nets. Based in Perth they service the whole of WA, Australia.

The Opportunity:

The Key objectives of the Landscape Estimator are to be responsible for material takeoffs and preparing accurate and timely estimates, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and managing the quoting pipeline to improve turnaround times to successfully bid on the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review plans, drawings, and project documentation to identify landscaping and surface construction scope.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for materials, labour, and subcontractor services.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and verify pricing for proposals.

    Assist in implementing and maintaining Simpro for estimating and quoting.
  • Manage the quoting pipeline to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to clarify scope, specifications, and timelines.
  • Support revisions, value engineering, and post-tender clarifications as needed.
  • Contribute to improving estimating templates and processes for greater efficiency.

About you:

The ideal background for this Landscape Estimator - Home-based Position is someone that has similar previous Australian LKandscaping experience coupled with strong Administartion experience. You should also possess the following qualifications and experience:

Must Have's

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Previous Australian Estimating experience
  • Strong understanding and experience in reading plans and architectural drawings
  • Excellent Written and Oral English
  • Ideally similar Landscaping or Civil experience

  • Must have great organisational skills and be able to multi task and manage multiple projects at different stages
  • Be a proactive and solutions-based thinker
  • Must have Strong analytical skills and be able to see patterns and improvements for estimating from the data provided
