QA/QC Engineer

Job Summary:
The QA/QC Engineer (HVAC) is responsible for ensuring that all HVAC works are executed in compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. The position ensures proper inspection, documentation, and testing of HVAC systems during installation and commissioning to meet client and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control plan for HVAC works.
- Review and verify HVAC drawings, materials, and equipment to ensure conformity with approved specifications and standards.
- Conduct inspection and testing of HVAC installations, including ducting, piping, insulation, and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection checklists, test reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Coordinate with the construction, design, and safety teams to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
- Monitor and verify installation works in accordance with ASHRAE standards, SMACNA, and project specifications.
- Witness testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, including air and water balancing, pressure testing, and performance testing.
- Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented for identified quality issues.
- Attend QA/QC meetings, site inspections, and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Provide technical guidance to site engineers and supervisors regarding HVAC installation and quality compliance.
- Maintain proper records and traceability of materials, inspection reports, and calibration certificates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred.
- Atleast of 1–5 years of experience as QA/QC Engineer in HVAC or MEPF construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC standards and codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, and local building codes).
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and report preparation.
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary project team under minimal supervision.
- Willing to be assigned at Taytay,Rizal
