Job Description:

Responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of company-owned vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with operational requirements. The role supports the Motor Pool Supervisor by addressing mechanical issues promptly, keeping accurate maintenance records, and may be designated as a reliever/driver of fleet vehicles as operational needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on light and heavy company vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with company and LTO standards.
  • Support fleet operations by driving company vehicles when assigned as reliever/driver.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, traffic rules, and safety regulations while driving.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of workshop, tools, and vehicles.
  • Coordinate with Motor Pool Supervisor regarding repairs, spare parts requisition, and scheduling.
  • Provide emergency roadside assistance and support as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance and repair reports for monitoring and cost tracking.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Automotive Servicing NC II/NC III or equivalent TESDA certification.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as an Auto Mechanic; exposure to fleet or transport operations is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems: engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, and air-conditioning.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools, power tools, and repair equipment.
  • Holder of a valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction 1,2; 3 preferred).
  • Clean driving record and knowledge of Philippine traffic and road safety laws.
  • Physically fit, hardworking, and willing to render overtime if needed.
  • Flexible to perform both mechanic and driving duties as business needs require.
