Job Summary:

The Skilled Electrician will be responsible for the installation, repair, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings, facilities, and projects. This role requires strong technical skills, an in-depth understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to work safely and efficiently under minimal supervision. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted operations, compliance with regulations, and the overall safety of electrical systems within the company's commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, panels, circuit breakers, outlets, and related equipment in commercial facilities.
• Inspect and test electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Diagnose electrical problems quickly and efficiently, recommending effective solutions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical diagrams, and building specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other skilled trades to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials while observing strict safety protocols.
• Keep detailed documentation of work performed, inspections completed, and repairs made.
• Provide input and recommendations for energy efficiency improvements or system upgrades.
• Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues or breakdowns when needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience as an electrician, preferably in commercial or industrial environments.
• Completion of a technical or vocational program in electrical installation and maintenance; valid electrician license/certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, national/local electrical codes, and safety standards.
• Skilled in using electrical testing devices, tools, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in different work environments.
• Strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and commitment to quality.
