Job Summary:

The Aircon Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning and ventilation systems in commercial buildings and facilities. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on skills, and the ability to work under minimal supervision while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the comfort and air quality in our work environment and supporting our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment in commercial facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and to prevent major breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, electrical and mechanical issues, and refrigerant problems.
  • Perform cleaning, filter replacement, and calibration of air conditioning units to maintain efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements, particularly in handling refrigerants.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and system breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other skilled technicians to complete tasks and projects effectively.
  • Recommend upgrades, replacements, and energy-efficient solutions when necessary.
  • Maintain proper use and safekeeping of tools, equipment, and company assets.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of proven work experience as an Aircon Technician, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Vocational or technical training in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology (TESDA NC II or equivalent certification is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and related electrical/mechanical components.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and repairing split-type, centralized, and commercial-scale AC units.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, or in varying environmental conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
