Position Overview

We are actively seeking experienced Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure & Platform Automation based in Manila, Philippines, to support our Australian client portfolio. This is a fully remote position requiring alignment with Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) business hours to ensure seamless collaboration with our Australian-based clients and project teams.

Key Requirements

Experience & Expertise:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable Azure infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Champion infrastructure as code using Terraform and promote automation best practices.
• Drive containerisation strategies using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
• Collaborate with security engineers to embed DevSecOps practices into the platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and documentation.
• Partner with product engineering teams to design and implement resilient application infrastructure.
• Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to improve platform capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and operational standards.

Technical Proficiencies:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles, with at least 3 years in Azure environments.
• Deep expertise in Azure services (e.g., AKS, Azure DevOps, Application Gateway, Azure Monitor).
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Strong experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, preferably AKS).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
• Solid understanding of network architectures and cloud-native security practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Certifications: (Optional but Advantageous)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Contract Details

• Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extension
• Available Positions: 2 openings
• Work Arrangement: 100% remote
• Time Zone Requirement: Must be available during AEST business hours
• Location: Philippines (candidates must be based locally)
