Key Responsibilities:

  1. Designs, builds, and maintains scalable and efficient ETL pipelines to support data analytics and reporting.

  2. Develops report automation solutions using Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform tools.

  3. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather data requirements, design data models, and optimize data retrieval and storage solutions.

  4. Works with cross-functional teams to integrate data sources, ensuring data consistency and accessibility.

  5. Implements and manages Google Cloud resources (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) to support large-scale data processing.

  6. Integrates and maintains Superset dashboards to visualize key business metrics and analytics in real time.

  7. Ensures data quality, governance, and compliance with organizational and industry standards.

  8. Troubleshoots and resolves issues in data pipelines and reporting processes.

  9. Continuously improves the performance and scalability of data systems by employing best practices for cloud engineering and data automation.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

· 2+ years of experience working with Python and SQL for data manipulation and automation.

· Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.

· Proven experience in developing ETL pipelines and report automation processes.

· Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Superset, with experience integrating these tools into reporting systems.

· Understanding of database architectures and experience in optimizing data storage and retrieval.

· Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.

· Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and proactively optimize systems.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across departments.

Technical Competencies

· Python: Expertise in scripting and automation, particularly in data engineering contexts.

· SQL: Advanced knowledge of querying, data modeling, and optimizing relational databases.

· Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Proficiency in cloud-native tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.

· ETL Processes: Experience in designing and maintaining efficient Extract, Transform, Load processes.

· Superset: Hands-on experience with integrating Superset for data visualization and reporting automation.

· Data Warehousing: Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, architecture, and implementation.

· Version Control: Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.

· Data Governance and Quality: Knowledge of best practices in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
