Qualifications:

Required:

1. A background in medical scribing and the medical field.

2. Strong attention to detail, coachability, organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

3. Good verbal and written communication skills.

4. Basic understanding of medical terminology, including jargon, to identify and correct minor mistakes.

5. Exceptional typing and data entry skills with a minimum accuracy of 95%.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

7. Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Advantage:

1. Ability to track progress effectively

2. Experience in a clinical or hospital setting (preferred but not required).

3. Scribe certification or completion of a medical scribe training program (advantageous but not mandatory).

Responsibilities:

  1. Record patient history, physical exam findings, diagnostic results, and other relevant medical information during patient encounters (Admission notes, routine check-up, follow up exam, etc.)
  2. Ensure that notes are clear, concise, and accurately reflect the physician's findings and instructions.
  3. Work closely with physicians to produce detailed, accurate notes in a nursing home setting, while quickly understanding their documentation style and preferences.
  4. Able to complete 45-50 notes a day
  5. Be responsive to feedback and willing to adjust documentation practices as needed.
  6. Support physicians by managing patient flow and ensuring that documentation is completed promptly.
  7. Assist in reviewing patient charts for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all pertinent information is documented.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
