Ascendion is a leading provider of digital engineering services, helping clients accelerate innovation and deliver high-impact solutions. We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and lead the charge in building scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure across cloud and containerized environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across mobile, web, and backend platforms using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and tools like SonarQube, Trivy, and Nexus.
  • Architect and manage containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes (AWS EKS), and OpenShift (OCP).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
  • Configure and maintain Linux systems, with strong scripting in Bash, Python, and Groovy.
  • Manage secure, highly available infrastructure in AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch).
  • Support Nginx configurations, routing, and reverse proxy setups for microservices.
  • Operate and monitor Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters, including autoscaling, persistent storage, networking, and security enforcement (OPA, RBAC, PSPs).
  • Lead performance and load testing, compute sizing, and observability initiatives.
  • Administer artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus) and manage dependency lifecycles.
  • Work with LDAP, Active Directory, DNS, and VLAN configurations.
  • Integrate Trivy for container security scanning and manage vulnerability remediation.
  • Administer and integrate SonarQube into CI/CD workflows for code quality.
  • Ensure secure deployments of identity and authentication microservices in compliance-driven environments.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA to drive DevOps best practices.
  • Provide documentation, mentorship, and technical leadership to engineering teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support Jira integration for DevOps planning and tracking.
Candidate Qualifications
  • ~5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Proven experience with AWS services: EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, VPC.
  • Proficient in IaC using Terraform, Helm, and Ansible, Bash, Python, and/or Groovy.
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD systems: Jenkins, GitLab CI.
  • Familiarity with Nexus, SonarQube, Trivy, and other DevSecOps tools.
  • Strong Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, DNS, and VLANs.
  • Understanding of DevOps security best practices, service mesh, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Experience in performance testing, disaster recovery, and high-availability systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Be deeply hands-on, from infrastructure setup to production troubleshooting.
  • Deliver insights and optimizations in performance, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Own documentation and reusability of pipelines and IaC templates.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and vendors to support the full SDLC.
