NOW HIRING: Pastry Chef for a French Café in Greenhills Mall, San Juan

We're looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to lead our pastry and dessert team at our French bistro & cafe in Greenhills Mall. If you love creating pastries that pair perfectly with a cafe experience, from buttery croissants to delicate crepes, we'd love to meet you

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to work at Greenhills Mall, San Juan
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef in reputable restaurants, hotels, or cafes
  • A Culinary Degree or Certification in Pastry Arts is an advantage
  • Preferred experience in French pastries such as croissants, viennoiseries, crepes, waffles, and similar baked goods
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, recipe execution, and kitchen safety standards
  • Background in menu planning, costing, and inventory management
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with food & beverage operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and prepare high-quality pastries and desserts, with a focus on items that enhance a cafe/restaurant setting
  • Collaborate with management to design seasonal menus, promotions, and special offerings
  • Consistently deliver pastries and desserts that delight guests and meet café standards
  • Lead and train the pastry/baking team, ensuring quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Oversee production schedules, kitchen operations, and task delegation
  • Provide hands-on training for junior staff in pastry and baking techniques
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining quality even under pressure
