Oncology Nurse

Job Summary:
Oncology Nurse is responsible for outpatient infusion services including chemotherapy. Must be proficient in IV insertions for all age groups, PICC line and Pot-a-Cath management, Phlebotomy, blood transfusion, performing nursing H&P/assessment, communication with ordering physicians and staff, etc. Responsible for patient education such as injections and all aspects of IV infusion therapy.
General Competencies:
Assess general condition of cancer patient
Access peripheral line
Access central line (implanted port)
Administer sequentially pre medication
Administer chronologically anti-cancer agents
Respond promptly to adverse and allergic reaction with anti-cancer agents
Initiate extravasation protocol
Perform small and large spill management
Compound anti-cancer agent
Safe handle hazardous drugs
Communicate health teachings to patient and their family
Endorse onco-related concerns to the health care team
Account materials used in care of patients
Perform basic oncologic nursing skills in the care of patient with oncologic needs
Use up to date peristaltic, elastomeric and diaphragmatic infusion pump.
Manage and de-access central line.
Qualification:
· With valid PRC License in Nursing
· Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.
· Basic computer knowledge required.
· Professional, friendly attitude
· Chemotherapy Training Courses is a plus but not mandatory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From Php25,000.00 per month
