Job description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer with experience in construction procurement to join our team This role is responsible for handling procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services specific to the construction industry. If you have strong analytical skills and a keen eye for cost-saving opportunities, we'd love to hear from you

This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process procurement requests from various departments, ensuring construction materials and services are sourced efficiently.

  • Manage daily purchasing activities, including vendor sourcing, price negotiation, and order placement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality materials and timely deliveries.

  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to optimize costs and improve procurement efficiency.

  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to product quality, delivery, and contract terms.

  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, invoices, and inventory reports.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Experience in purchasing or procurement within the construction industry is required.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software is a plus.

  • Willing to work full-time in San Juan City.
