Business Analyst (Java & Web Applications)

Work Location: BGC, Taguig (Onsite)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, Regular APAC hours (9AM–6PM)

Employment Type: 1-year contract (with high possibility of renewal)

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technical execution. In this role, you will work closely with both stakeholders and developers—translating requirements into actionable specifications, ensuring alignment, and supporting successful delivery through testing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Elicitation & Reverse Engineering

  • Analyze JSF XHTML pages, Java Beans, and portlet configurations to uncover core business rules and complex control flows.
  • Create detailed System Requirement Specifications (SRS).

Design Documentation

  • Document functional deviations and optimizations (e.g., improved navigation, component decomposition).
  • Produce clear Design Specifications.

Client Engagement

  • Facilitate walkthrough sessions for high-complexity screen analyses.
  • Incorporate client feedback to finalize requirements and designs.

Testing & Validation

  • Develop System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans.
  • Coordinate/perform test execution, defect logging, and verification with developers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Java and React developers during debugging.
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of Java development experience (with basic HTML knowledge).
  • Comfortable reading Java classes/methods and XHTML markup.
  • Familiar with AJAX-driven interactions and event-based (pub-sub) patterns.
  • Strong ability to create Requirement Specifications and translate them into test suites.
  • Experience with React + TypeScript component patterns (preferred).
  • Knowledge of RESTful services, API-gateway basics (e.g., IBM API Connect).
  • Exposure to AWS S3 deployments (a plus).
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be willing to work fully onsite in BGC, Taguig.
