Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy or other related course
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least 5 - 8 years of immersive experience in the different facets of Accounting and Finance such as but not limited to payables, receivables, disbursements, collections and financial analysis
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends in the industry and in the general market
  • Background in team management, coaching and mentoring
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Excellent command of the English Language (both written and verbal)
  • Proven competency and proficiency with the use of Accounting Software is an advantage for this role
  • Ability to work around new tools and accounting processes is an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, updates, and oversees implementation of Department policies and SOPs.
  • Ensures compliance with BIR, SEC, LGU, and other external regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates with external accountants for timely submission and filing of statutory reports across all entities: DOV, CIIT  Trading, College, and SHS.
  • Validates disbursement positions, funding levels, expense commitments and ensures alignment with institutional financial and budget goals.
  • Monitors monthly KPI submissions from the Supervisor and Officers.
  • Reviews and prepares monthly FS reports to the Board and ManCom.  (FS, Budget vs Actuals, Budget Performance, Cash Position).
  • Diagnoses workflow or policy gaps and implements practical process solutions.
  • Mentors Finance team and leads internal knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Develops and maintain an accounting manual.
