Job Description:

We are looking for a responsible and trustworthy Cashier Officer-In-Charge (OIC) to oversee cashier operations in our grocery store. The role involves handling daily cash transactions, supervising cashier staff, and ensuring smooth front-end operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cashier operations, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and POS transactions
  • Supervise and assist cashier staff during shifts
  • Manage opening and closing procedures for the cashier section
  • Monitor cash drawers and reconcile daily sales reports
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly
  • Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures
  • Assist in training new cashiers and maintaining a high standard of service
  • Coordinate with store management for operational needs and reporting

Qualifications:

  • At least college level or equivalent
  • With prior experience as a cashier, head cashier, or similar supervisory role (preferably in grocery/retail)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Honest, reliable, and willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
