Junior Digital Content Creator / E‑Learning Designer
Gamification + Training Video Creation + Micro‑credentials + AI‑Enabled Production

Role summary
We're hiring a junior digital learning professional who's excited to build interactive e‑learning and create polished training videos—especially content that supports badges and micro‑credentials. You'll support projects end‑to‑end (with guidance from a senior designer/lead), from early discovery and storyboarding through build, QA, launch, and updates.
You'll also use AI tools responsibly to speed up parts of production (while keeping quality, accessibility, accuracy, and brand standards high).
Key responsibilities
E‑learning design & development (with support)
- Assist with analyzing learning needs and helping translate goals into clear learning outcomes, lesson flows, and simple assessments
- Build and update modules in Articulate Rise 360 and/or Storyline (or equivalent tools) using team templates and style guides
- Draft storyboards, scripts, and on‑screen microcopy that are concise, learner‑friendly, and aligned to outcomes
- Apply microlearning principles to create modular, reusable learning assets (short lessons, practice activities, knowledge checks)
- Implement interactions using basic triggers/states (where relevant), navigation patterns, and UX best practices
Training video creation & multimedia production
- Produce training videos that support courses and badge/micro‑credential pathways (short lessons, walkthroughs, skill demonstrations)
- Support the video workflow: script → storyboard → record → edit → caption → publish
- Create screen recordings/software simulations, simple callouts, basic motion, and brand‑aligned thumbnails/visuals
- Follow team quality standards for audio, pacing, accessibility, and LMS‑ready formats
AI‑enabled content and video production (responsible use)
Use approved AI tools to accelerate production tasks such as:
Drafting or tightening scripts and storyboards
- Generating first‑pass captions, summaries, chapter markers, and supporting text
- Assisting with audio cleanup (noise reduction/leveling) and transcript‑based editing workflows
- Supporting localization efforts (subtitles/translation) and consistency across video series
- Speeding up supporting assets (thumbnail variations, callouts, simple visual variants)
- Apply strong human review: fact‑check, polish tone, and ensure instructional accuracy for any AI‑assisted output
- Follow privacy/IP guidelines and internal tooling rules (no uploading confidential client data into unapproved tools; document AI usage when required)
Gamification & engagement (implementation support)
- Help implement gamification elements (badges, points, progress indicators, challenges) aligned to learning outcomes and program rules
- Support engagement strategies like feedback loops, mastery checks, and spaced practice—helping test small improvements over time
LMS, SCORM & quality assurance
- Support packaging, testing, and troubleshooting SCORM-compliant modules (with guidance)
- Assist with LMS publishing tasks (metadata, file versioning, content updates, basic tracking validation)
- Perform QA checks for usability, accessibility basics (captions, readable layouts), and cross‑device functionality
Collaboration & project support
- Partner with SMEs and teammates to gather content and convert it into clear, teachable learning experiences
- Track tasks and deadlines across multiple projects; communicate progress, blockers, and risks early
- Contribute to team standards by using and improving templates, checklists, and documentation
Required qualifications (junior level)
- 0–2 years of experience building digital learning content (or strong internship/portfolio experience in L&D, edtech, media, or training)
- Beginner-to-intermediate skills in Articulate Rise 360 and/or Storyline (comfortable building from templates and making edits independently)
- Experience creating training videos or tutorials (screen recording, basic editing, captions, and simple audio cleanup)
- Understanding of instructional design fundamentals and adult learning basics (objectives, practice, feedback, assessment alignment)
- Working familiarity with LMS/SCORM concepts (what SCORM is, how publishing/testing works, basic completion tracking expectations)
- Strong writing and editing skills: able to draft scripts, storyboards, and clear learner-facing copy
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools for content/video workflows with strong human review and quality control
- Able to work independently in a remote environment (organized, dependable, proactive communicator, comfortable collaborating async)
Nice to have
- Exposure to badges/micro‑credentials (criteria, evidence, rubrics, pathways)
- Familiarity with xAPI/LRS concepts or learning analytics beyond completion data
- Experience with tools like Vyond/After Effects, Premiere/DaVinci, Descript, Canva, or Figma (even at a basic level)
- Accessibility awareness (captioning standards, inclusive design, readability)
- Basic graphic design sense (layout, consistency, using brand guidelines)
- Experience with AI video features (text-to-speech, automated localization, transcript editing) and awareness of governance/privacy considerations
What success looks like (first 3–6 months)
- You can independently build and QA smaller Rise/Storyline modules using team templates
- You produce clean, captioned training videos that meet brand and accessibility expectations
- You reliably hit deadlines, communicate early when blocked, and incorporate feedback quickly
- You use AI tools appropriately to speed up work—without sacrificing accuracy or quality
