About the role

This full-time Accounting Assistant position at Motortrade, the leading motorcycle dealer in the Philippines, offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company. Based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, you will play a key role in supporting the company's accounting and financial operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Process supplier invoices by matching amounts, quantities, company names, and branches with the RR sent by branches and P.O. forwarded by CMC-Operations
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of branch replenishment reports, including attachments such as deposit slips, vouchers, and official receipts
  • Receive and process branch requests for additional PCF, ensuring the validation of computations, requested amounts, and supporting documents (e.g., RIC, deposit slips, breakdowns of amounts)
  • Review and validate Request for Issuance of Check (RIC) for marketing activities, including attachments
  • Process branch requests for service units, checking models, OR & CR, price computations, financing, and the person responsible for the service unit for payment purposes
  • Assign accounting entry codes after verifying all documents, requests, and replenishments, and forward all documents to the encoder for system entry
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of check payments issued to suppliers, including cost, discounts, rebates (via P.O.), due dates, and document attachments
  • Ensure all checks released to suppliers are accurately recorded and forwarded to Treasury on the same day
  • Verify and check imports from EDP (Purchases for the Day) against the Accounts Payable System, ensuring correct data entry for each vendor
  • Prepare and enter adjusting entries for returned and promo units
  • Review adjusting entries (Invoice Batch) for rebates/discounts and freight changes
  • Check monthly supplier statements against open payables
  • Assist in printing checks for PCF and other payments
  • Monitor and seek approval for freight charges for new provincial branches
