Role Overview

We are seeking a
Technical Web Content Strategist
to lead our content infrastructure and optimization initiatives. Unlike a traditional editorial role, this position focuses on the "plumbing" of our digital ecosystem—ensuring that content is auditable, migratable, and governed by robust frameworks. You will be the architect of our content systems, driving high-impact projects like CMS migrations and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Audits & Inventory:
    Lead comprehensive quantitative and qualitative content audits. Maintain a centralized content inventory to ensure accuracy and relevance across the digital footprint.
  • CMS Migration & Management:
    Act as the strategic lead for migrating content between platforms, ensuring data integrity, URL mapping, and structural consistency.
  • Governance Frameworks:
    Develop and enforce content governance standards, including lifecycle management (creation to archival), roles/permissions, and editorial quality standards.
  • System Optimization:
    Design and refine content workflows to reduce friction for contributors while maintaining high standards for output.
  • Information Architecture (IA):
    Utilize data analysis to design intuitive navigation, taxonomies, and metadata schemas that improve findability and SEO.
  • Technical SEO & Discovery:
    Use tools like
    Screaming Frog
    to crawl sites, identify technical debt (broken links, 404s, redirect loops), and optimize site structure.
  • Project Management:
    Oversee the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, coordinating between stakeholders in Marketing, IT, and Design.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Technical Proficiency:
    Demonstrated experience with technical SEO tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Semrush) and advanced Excel/Data Visualization for audit reporting.
  • CMS Expertise:
    Deep hands-on experience with enterprise-level Content Management Systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Drupal, Contentful, or WordPress).
  • Portfolio Requirement:
    A proven track record of successful content audits and migration projects (be prepared to discuss your methodology and artifacts).
  • Analytical Mindset:
    Ability to translate raw site data into actionable strategic recommendations for site architecture.
  • Project Management:
    Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies and tools like Jira or Asana is highly preferred.
