JOB SUMMARY
The Reservist Coordinator, within the duration of his/her contract, will essentially focus on three (3) functional areas under the RAO: the Balik-Reservist Program, ROTC Graduate Enlistment and TDA updating.
For the Balik-Reservist Program, he/she will locate, contact and convince former employee-reservists of the 1st Affiliated Reserve Medical Center (UPHS) to re-join our unit/ARU (Affiliated Reserve Unit) and hence be part again of the unit organization.
For the ROTC Graduate Enlistment, he/she will gather the list of employees who graduated from ROTC across DALTA and JONELTA thru the HRs of respective Business Units.
For Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) Semi-Annual Report updating, he/she will coordinate with the Reservist team in line with the gathered names/re-joined reservists and graduates of ROTC.
He/she will report to the Executive Director, RAO, set periodic targets, collect and organize information gathered, and submit regular or special reports as may be directed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contact potential Balik-Reservist recruits from among former resigned, retired or separated employees who were affiliated reservists of the 1st AFP ARMC, by way of calls, texts, social media messages or by any other means possible.
2. Negotiate with these potential recruits to join the Balik-Reservist program (entails good negotiation skills on his/her part).
3. In consultation with the Program Director, devise a recruitment strategy to include his/her spiel, script and/or sound bytes necessary to convince former reservist-employees to re-join the unit. In this regard, the staff may be required to work, coordinate with the Marketing Department in coming up with a recruitment strategy.
4. Be cognizant or learn on-the-job about the AFP Reserve Force particularly on the AFP Affiliated Reserve Units (AFPARU) Program. It would be good if he/she is a current line reservist or ROTC graduate or even a former employee-reservist.
5. Provide regular feedback to the Program Director.
6. Collate data gathered for presentation in twice-monthly update meetings.
7. Set weekly, monthly targets (quota) to recruit.
8. Identify potential "advocacy LOEs (lines of effort)" of recruited Balik-Reservists (e.g. medical, environmental, education, relief operations, feeding programs).
9. Assist in matters pertaining to the ROTC Program of the UPHS and in updating the unit's Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) Semi-Annual Report.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, final reports.
Essentially produce a substantial output during the 6-month duration of hiring (re-hiring will be dependent on outcome/output).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Academic:
College Degree preferably an ROTC graduate or AFP reservist
Experience:
2-3 years experience in an office environment particularly in the field of Marketing or Corporate Communications
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
a. Good written and verbal communication skills
b. Matured disposition and able to relate with all the levels in the organization
c. Able to effectively handle/monitor the project
d. Must be highly organized
e. Computer (MS Office) literate
