Accounting SupervisorRole Overview

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations. This role oversees daily accounting activities, reviews reports, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and supports management through financial analysis and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Supervision

  • Manage and supervise a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all accounting tasks and deliverables.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure all reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

3. Accounts Management

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Monitor cash flow and support management with financial planning.

4. Reconciliation & Analysis

  • Review bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial results, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.

5. Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.

6. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting systems, processes, and overall efficiency.

7. Collaboration

  • Coordinate with other departments to support cross-functional activities and business needs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Skills:

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ODOO).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Additional Information
