Credit and Collections Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company’s credit and collections operations. This includes evaluating customer creditworthiness, managing the timely collection of accounts receivable, minimizing credit risk, and ensuring adherence to company policies and credit terms. The role leads the collections team and coordinates closely with Sales, Accounting, and Legal for resolution of past-due accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily credit and collections activities to ensure effective follow-up and timely payment from customers.
Review and assess credit applications and customer financial information to establish credit limits and terms.
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and flag high-risk or overdue accounts.

Set and implement collection strategies based on customer profiles and payment behavior.

Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Service departments regarding disputed accounts or payment issues.

Recommend credit holds, payment plans, or legal escalation for non-compliant accounts.

Review and approve credit memos, payment extensions, and write-off proposals.
Prepare regular collection performance reports and updates for management.
Train, guide, and evaluate credit and collections staff to ensure professionalism and compliance with policies.
Assist in developing credit policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
At least 3–5 years of experience in credit and collections, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong knowledge of credit evaluation, collections process, and legal aspects of credit management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and lead a team under pressure.
