Overview:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our dynamic team in the countertop fabrication industry. As an integral part of our daily production process, you will be responsible for converting site data into precise, production-ready 2D drawings. This fully remote position integrates directly into our team's workflow and operates under the direction of the CAD Manager for either residential or commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Convert DWG files and raw site data (such as laser measurements, photos, and field notes) into accurate 2D technical drawings used in manufacturing.
Review and professionalize layouts provided by field technicians, ensuring alignment with company standards.
Apply internal layer standards and fabrication rules to each drawing set, ensuring consistency and precision.
Upload finalized drawings into the company's centralized project management system (cloud-based).
Collaborate daily with project managers and the CAD team to maintain drawing accuracy and responsiveness to job site inputs, ensuring that any changes or issues are quickly addressed.

Qualifications:
Proficient in AutoCAD with strong 2D drawing skills, with a focus on DWG files.
1–3 years of experience in construction, architecture, or manufacturing design environments is preferred.
Ability to understand shop fabrication logic, tolerances, and workflow, translating that knowledge into precise technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality assurance in every aspect of your work.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily volume of approximately 10 sets of drawings.
A reliable internet connection, with the ability to work in coordination with U.S. time zones or next-day handoff logic.

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience in kitchen or countertop layout design is a plus.
Familiarity with simple drawing specifications, rectangular layouts, and non-3D design is preferred.
