Energy Market Analyst

Position Summary

The Energy Market Analyst is responsible in assisting and performing trading activities; prepares daily and monthly reports. Ensure and safeguard the confidentiality of records and other information regarding transactions and generated accounts. Assist in monitoring and analyzing constantly the WESM and perform other tasks and special functions which may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

Major Responsibilities1.    Trading Operations

·      Learn and familiarize the procedures and daily activities of trading, settlement, and sales team

·      Real-time WESM and Pre-WESM trading operations

·      Prepares the customer's bilateral contract quantities (BCQ) nominations to be used in the Trading Strategy
2.    Monitoring and Analysis

·      Ensures complete Market data and System-related data and information that are used for Market Analysis

·      Prepares Operations-related reports and Market Analysis

·      Generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
3.    Coordination with Counter-parties

·      Coordinates with IEMOP and/or MSP to ensure proper implementation of trading strategies and protocols

·      Assist in coordination with the customers during switching procedure, dispute resolution, and other customer-related processes
Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Math, Physics or a related field

·      Experience in the WESM and/or electric power industry is a plus, open for fresh graduate

·      Excellent oral and written communication skills

·      Data analysis skills

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
