The Ambulance Driver is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the company ambulance at the construction site. The role ensures prompt transportation of injured or ill workers to designated medical facilities and supports the site medical team in providing emergency medical care in line with health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the ambulance safely and responsibly at all times, adhering to traffic rules and site safety regulations.
  • Transport injured or sick workers from site to clinic/hospital in a timely manner.
  • Assist the medical officer/first aider in handling patients during transfer, including lifting, securing, and monitoring patient safety.
  • Keep the ambulance in clean, serviceable condition at all times (fueling, daily checks, cleanliness).
  • Conduct routine inspections of the ambulance to ensure all medical equipment, first aid kits, oxygen cylinders, and supplies are available and functional.
  • Respond immediately to emergency calls on-site and remain on standby as required during working hours.
  • Maintain logbooks for ambulance trips, fuel usage, and medical equipment inventory.
  • Coordinate with security, HSE, and site management during accidents or medical emergencies.
  • Report any faults, damages, or incidents involving the ambulance to the supervisor promptly.
  • Support HSE awareness campaigns and emergency drills organized at the construction site.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Trainings and NC II
  • Previous experience as an ambulance driver or in emergency driving preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and patient handling (First Aid/CPR certification desirable).
  • Familiarity with road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
  • Physically fit to assist in lifting and moving patients.
  • Ability to remain calm and act quickly under stressful situations.
