Job Title: Accounting Clerk (Bookkeeping Assistant)
Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments)
- Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and supporting records
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure balances are accurate
- Track accounts payable and receivable
- Assist in payroll preparation and documentation
- Prepare simple financial reports (cash flow, expenses, balances)
- Organize and file invoices, receipts, and supporting documents
- Coordinate with external accountants for compliance and tax reporting
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or clerical finance work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Highly organized, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
Preferred:
- Experience in small business or multi-brand companies
- Familiarity with Philippine BIR compliance is an advantage
