Linux System Administrator

  • Perform Linux/Unix/Windows server administration and operations support in an on-premise/public cloud datacenter environment

  • Perform physical and virtual server provisioning; OS installation, configuration, upgrades of operating systems

  • Perform monitoring and maintenance of physical and virtual servers (Window/Linux/Unix servers)

  • Provide 2nd level systems admin (e.g. server and storage) operations support for incidents and service requests

  • Work with IT service desk, application support teams, and other technical teams for on-time resolution of incidents and completion of service requests

  • Perform thorough and proper troubleshooting and analysis and ensure on-time resolution of technical issues

  • Manage and coordinate escalated issues with technology vendors, as necessary

  • Server storage application performance and availability monitoring

  • Proactively introduce/propose and implement initiatives, new technical methods, and/or process enhancements for operational improvements

  • Receive technical escalations; as systems admin consultant for other internal teams as necessary, in case of complex issues or operational deliverables

  • Conduct technical training/knowledge transfer to fellow team members and other teams, as required

  • Conduct technical interviews for potential candidates, as required.

Must be amenable to travel to data center site in General Trias, Cavite only if needed and to report onsite in BGC, Taguig
