Deco Marché is a technology-driven product and logistics partner specializing in home décor and furniture. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Scientist to support our Wholesale, Ecommerce, and Finance teams with insights that drive strategic decision-making and performance improvement. This role will be responsible for analyzing sales and financial data, building and maintaining robust reporting tools, and delivering clear, actionable takeaways to cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret wholesale and ecommerce sales, marketing, and finance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards using Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, charts) and/or Microsoft Power BI tools
  • SQL querying of sales or inventory data from our systems
  • Build ad hoc analyses and recurring reports for key stakeholders across sales, ecommerce, and finance teams
  • Clean and validate raw data from various sources to create digestible summaries and valuable insights
  • Support sales and merchandising teams to evaluate product/category/channel performance including buying patterns and conversion metrics
  • Support finance team in planning, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current reporting processes and recommend improvements
  • Deliver actionable insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences – clearly tell the story behind the numbers
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting sources

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Direct experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Microsoft Power BI tool
  • SQL expertise
  • 2+ years of experience in data queueing and analysis, preferably supporting wholesale, ecommerce, or retail operations
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, advanced formulas, charts, and data modeling)
  • Direct experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Microsoft Power BI tool
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex data sets and present clear takeaways
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of décor/furniture or other consumer product within B2B or B2C channels is a plus
