JOB OVERVIEW

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the business. The BI Analyst will manage recurring reporting, prepare and validate data, maintain and enhance dashboards, and provide ad hoc analysis to stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data preparation and management
  • Develop and maintain regular reports that track key business metrics
  • Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and operational reports (Looker or equivalent, Power BI / Tableau)
  • Support end-of-month and recurring reporting processes and propose automation opportunities
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and present findings with clear recommendations to stakeholders
  • Identify data needs, understand challenges, and deliver solutions that help the business achieve its goals
  • Respond to specific business questions with timely, in-depth analysis
  • Monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and implement fixes and validation checks
  • Develop and maintain data documentation (definitions etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4–5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst or in a similar role
  • Experience with BI and visualisation tools (Looker preferred, or Power BI/Tableau)
  • Advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to stakeholders
  • Ability to translate data into clear, concise and compelling insights
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimisation
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Knowledge of Netsuite ERP preferred but not essential
